Christ's blood covers our sins. He freely offers us grace even though we regularly fail to live up to the task of being image-bearers of our glorious God.
Raising kids to follow Jesus will often feel counterintuitive, especially when we compare it to the culture around us. True happiness is typically found when we deny ourselves for the sake of others.
The guilt I feel for my sins is the painful reminder of what I've done, but I've also got this scripture as a reminder of how Christ healed me spiritually.
As we reflect on Easter, we're reminded that the celebration of Sunday was preceded by the sacrifice of Friday. And just like Easer, many of our family celebrations are the result of family sacrifices as well.
